Products And Services

  • Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)

Dr. Ducic performs rhinoplasty in order to reshape the nose. Appearance can be improved for those people who are dissatisfied with the shape and size of their nose. Nasal reconstruction was one of the first cosmetic procedures ever developed and is among those most frequently performed today. Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure in which deformities of the nose are corrected by removing, rearranging or reshaping bone or cartilage.

  • Facelift (Rhytidectomy)

Dr. Ducic performs rhytidectomies, or facelifts, to enhance your appearance and correct these conditions. A facelift involves tightening of the facial and neck muscles as well as the removal of any excess skin. The procedure is often performed in conjunction with additional cosmetic surgeries such as blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), brow and forehead lift, chin augmentation, liposuction and/or rhinoplasty (nasal surgery). These procedures can be performed any time after signs of aging appear in order to attain a more youthful appearance.

  • Neck Lift

As we age, development of jowls or sagging around the jaw line and laxity of skin in the central upper neck (so called “turkey gobbler”) is something that happens at least to some degree in all of us. Once there is enough laxity a neck lift may be an excellent option for the right patient. A necklift involves tightening the muscles in the central neck (so called platysmaplasty) and then pulling excess skin out along the hairline. Depending on the amount of skin laxity, an incision will be ideally made in the hair behind the ear to hide the scar. This does raise the hairline in the back to some degree. In patients with a lot of skin laxity, we will often make an incision along the hairline in the neck to avoid raising the hairline much. There has to be enough laxity of skin in order to have a natural result. There is not a certain age when you are ready for this procedure. Rather, it is all about the amount of skin looseness that is present.

  • Brow Lift

Dr. Ducic performs brow lift and forehead lift to raise eyebrows and reduce ridges and furrows on the forehead, thus creating a smoother, more youthful appearance. This procedure can be performed in conjunction with other surgeries.

  • Blepharoplasty

Traditional Blepharoplasty: An incision is made in the crease of the upper lid toward the temples. Once healed, it is not noticeable when the eye is open. On the lower lid, the incision is made along the lash line toward the temples, and is hidden by lashes when healed. The Transconjunctival Approach: This is a somewhat newer technique for lower lid blepharoplasty, involving an incision inside the lower lid. Fat can be removed through this incision, but excess skin cannot be eliminated.

  • Otoplasty

In cases of protruding or over-developed ears, the procedure of otoplasty may be an option. Otoplasty is commonly referred to as “pinning back” of the ears. It is available for children once their ears have stopped developing around the age of six. Over-developed ears can be the cause of psychological stress and trauma and should be treated at a young age before it becomes a serious issue. Dr. Ducic is trained in several surgical procedures, in order to eliminate the majority of the problems related to protruding ears

  • Fat Grafting

A natural way of achieving volume augmentation in the face and neck is the use of a patient’s own fat cells. Fat cells are generally harvested from the lower abdomen, flanks or upper thighs and then prepared for injection using small syringes into the areas of the face where it is needed. In our experience, approximately 80% of patients will retain some or all of their transplanted fat resulting in long-term augmentation. The fat cells also have some beneficial effects on the overlying skin that are not just related to the fact they are acting as a filler. The skin will often improve texture, color and appearance after fat grafting. This is not seen with other fillers. The procedure takes from 30-60 minutes and can be performed under sedation or general anesthesia.

  • Chin Implants

Chin implants, also known as chin augmentation implants or genioplasty implants, are prosthetic devices used in cosmetic surgery to enhance the shape and size of the chin. These implants are typically made of materials like silicone or other biocompatible substances and are designed to provide a natural look and feel. The purpose of chin implants is to improve the overall balance and symmetry of the face, particularly for individuals with a weak or receding chin. During the surgical procedure, the surgeon creates a small incision, often inside the mouth or beneath the chin, and then inserts the implant over the chin bone. The implant is positioned to achieve the desired aesthetic outcome and is secured in place.

  • Hair Replacement with SmartGraft®

SmartGraft hair replacement uses FUE (follicular unit extraction) technology which can be one simple solution for hair loss in both men and women. The SmartGraft system was developed by a leading team of physicians, medical scientists, and engineers who understood the importance of helping to assist physicians with their FUE surgeries to give patients an alternative to the visible linear scarring that occurs with the traditional strip method. SmartGraft uses a less intrusive method to restore hair loss than the strip method. Through a process known as “fue hair restoration,” SmartGraft uses your own hair to produce the most natural results. The procedure is completed in-office, during a single visit, which means less discomfort and less recovery. And the best part? SmartGraft produces permanent results.

  • Laser Sugery

What is a laser? A laser is a high-energy beam of light that can selectively transfer its energy into tissue to treat the skin. Lasers contain a material that produces and amplifies light. Two mirrors cause the light to reflect back and forth through this material. The result is a light beam that is collimated and intense. This light is either one pure color or several different pure colors. These properties which separate the laser from a light bulb, are important to the medical application of lasers. Many procedures cannot be done without the laser. Likewise, many procedures are better performed without the laser. Even with the sparkle, pure color, and high-energy beam, the laser is not always the best tool for surgery. The choice of using a laser or other surgical methods is carefully made by the facial plastic surgeon. Your surgeon has the preference to consider the results, the possible complications, and the alternatives. Many procedures can be performed with different lasers. The choice of the laser depends upon many factors, including the surgeon’s experience, the size of the area to be treated, and the expectations of the patient.

  • Laser Resurfacing

Dr. Ducic uses lasers to treat sun-damaged skin, facial wrinkles and scars in a procedure called laser skin resurfacing.

  • Scar Revision

When the skin is in the process of recovering from an injury, whether the result of an accident, surgery, a burn, or acne, scarring will occur wherever multiple layers of the skin have been affected. Once a scar forms, it is permanent but may be made less visible or relocated surgically. With very few exceptions most people are self-conscious about facial scars. Some people may also experience diminished functioning of the eyes, mouth, or nose due to scarring. If you’ve wondered how facial scar revision could improve your appearance, your self-confidence, or your level of facial functioning, you need to know how scar revision works and what you can expect from this procedure. This web page can address many of your questions and provide you the information to begin considering facial scar revision surgery. Successful facial plastic surgery is a result of good rapport between patient and surgeon. Trust, based on realistic expectations and exacting medical expertise, develops in the consulting stages before surgery is performed. Dr. Ducic can answer specific questions about your specific needs.
