Phyllis Bullon- President

Phyllis Bullon- President and founder of Signs2go Interpreting & Support Services, LLC. I am a Texas BEI Certified Interpreter with over 36 years involvement in the Deaf Community. My professional career choice as an Interpreter carries me into a wide variety of situations and settings, feeding my desire to be a lifetime learner. I am an avid reader and I typically read the course materials for all College level classes I interpret. Prior to becoming a "certified" interpreter, I signed for Deaf family and friends at various functions and for Deaf friends that I worked with in the Aerospace Defense Industry. I have a technical background with my Journeyman's in Electrical and Electronics Bench "A & B." I am trained/certified in a variety of related topics. I have some training in automotive electronics, auto paint and body, and computers. I was also an educational (k-12) interpreter for 11 years and a Community interpreter both for an agency (6 yrs) and as a freelance (since I certified in 1996). I have extensive experience in medical interpreting, religious interpreting and interpreting theater/performing arts. With my past training and experience it is understandable that my "specialties" in interpreting include the shop/tech classes, medical, theater, education and religious settings. For fun, I enjoy family and friends, shooting pool, dance, music, reading, arts and crafts with the grand kids, painting/drawing/doodling, cooking and (of course)...shopping!. I am blessed with a wonderful, loving, Christian family that has supported me in this adventure, as I learn and grow this business, to serve you! Terry Bullon

Terry does everything that needs to be done in order to make sure that the personnel of Signs2go Interpreting & Support Services, LLC step into each day prepared. Terry keeps the Presidents vehicle ready to go, makes office supply runs, brings us food, and keeps us laughing! His is the warm, professional voice on our answering machine, and he is also the occasional phone receptionist. Terry keeps up with the 3rd Saturday Silent Night Pot Luck Social and enjoys "tripping over his fingers" while learning to communicate with the Deaf attendees. He is also the videographer for some of the workshops and practice DVDs. Terry was in the Marine Corp for 10 years and when he left, he went to work in the Aerospace Defense Industry. It was here that he ran over Phyllis' foot with a golf cart (accidentally...most guys would just say "Hi" and ask a girl on a date...but he had to be different!), then asked her to marry him 6 months later. Married for almost 22 years, he has been the foundation of the marriage, Drill Sargent for the kids (ours and the 43 others who have lived with us at different times), husband, father, grandfather, best friend and my greatest source of courage. He has opened his heart, opened his home, and supported me as I opened this business. Terry is medically retired and he gives us the best parts of his day. Oh...he also really does "work for food."

Summer Griffin

Summer Griffin is an indispensable part of our team. She handles the office, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and taxes. Currently working on her Bachelor's Degree in Business, she is already a highly trained, much sought for, tax preparer with years of experience. She is meticulous and hard working and keeps this company on track. She has aspirations of owning her own accounting firm in the near future. Summer is a wife and mother of two, one son, 12 and one daughter, 10. She is involved in the kids school and activities, manages to help with their homework as well as do her own, keep house, go to college full time, and work for this company. We are not sure if she ever sleeps, but she always smiles! Summer is often involved with animal rescue and has been the caretaker of a wide variety of animals over the years. She enjoys time with her family and friends, and almost never sits still long enough to watch a whole movie... She would rather be doing something productive. Her hobby...doing everything for everybody and getting it all done! ​Summer is a "people person" who knows how to bring out the best in all of us. She is one of this company's most valuable assets.

Janett McTaggart

. Janett is a recent addition to the offices at Signs2go. Janett has an in depth financial background and she is bringing her knowledge and abilities to benefit this company. Janett is fun, friendly, supportive, and an overall team player. Janet's experience includes: -Paid Tax preparer for Jackson Hewlett Tax Service since January 01, 2003. -Managed the Office and coordinated tax return accuracy with company for the past 4 years. -Attended many seminars on various subjects including Self Employment Income. -Taught basic Income Tax courses along with many seminars on various tax subjects, including self employment Income. Janett is currently working part time as Business Office Support and Financial Adviser for Signs2go Interpreting & Support Services, LLC. She has availed herself to present the occasional workshop geared toward freelance interpreters and taxes. She may also be available as an independent tax consultant, as her schedule allows.

Muriel Anne Buie

Howdy! I am Muriel Anne Buie, a Fort Worth native and graduate of Trimble Tech High School's Class of 1985. (That year had the largest number of Deaf graduates in the history of Fort Worth Regional Day School Program for the Deaf...waving hands!!) I began learning sign language in 7th grade from Deaf students and had the opportunity to work alongside some wonderful interpreting mentors while still in high school. My amazing Deaf friends were the reason I became fluent at an early age and was able to Certify in 1986. (I thought the certificate would be good to have, didn't plan to become an interpreter. Wanna make God laugh? Tell Him your plans…) I began working as a part-time interpreter/work study student at Dallas Baptist University in fall of 1985, back to Fort Worth for educational interpreting in 1988, followed by Pikes Peak Center on Deafness in Colorado Springs, TSTI Waco, and the American Red Cross at Friedberg Community Counseling Center (Friedberg, Germany) and when I came back to the U.S. I took my next level test and was certified as a Level III while working at TSTC Waco. I returned to Fort Worth and educational interpreting and later, community interpreting with Goodrich Center for the Deaf. I took a break from interpreting to work for the Fort Worth Police Communications Department as a 9-1-1 call taker, training that would assist me later as an interpreter in the community/legal environment. Then, I was contacted with an opportunity to work exclusively with Deaf in mental health settings for National Mental Health Institute on Deafness in Arlington, Texas. The training I received on assessing the communication needs of Deaf/Deaf-blind consumers is still one of the greatest training experiences of my career. To increase my effectiveness in working with clients and counseling staff, I took coursework specific to mental health at TCJC's Northeast campus. For the next 13 years I worked as a community interpreter, obtaining my BEI Texas Court Interpreter Certificate. Whether I am teaching a community class in basic sign language and Deaf perspectives, co-teaching mental health workshops with Dr. Carole Rogers PsyD for Signs2Go Interpreting, or interpreting at North Fort Worth Baptist Church, giving back to the community that taught me is at the heart of it all. Currently, I am working for a Deaf owned company in Fort Worth during my daytime hours. I am available evenings, overnights, and Saturdays for interpreting. My goal is to provide the best language access for my consumers as possible in the language which they understand. I have a great deal of respect for Deaf consumers and their choices in the mode of communication, whether it is ASL, PSE, CASE, Signed English, Oral, or tactile.

Susan "Susie" McGee

Susie McGee- I love being an interpreter! What other profession allows you get to meet new people every day, constantly learn new things and go to new places, all while providing a needed service? I am a Texas BEI Advanced/ NIC Interpreter. I began my interpreting career in Washington, DC after studying at Gallaudet and really learning ASL from my deaf roommate and friends. My interpreting is informed by my education, which includes a PhD. in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in linguistics from Georgetown University. I currently have completed 18 graduate hours towards a Master's degree in American Sign Language/English Interpreting from the University of North Florida. I have also taught both ASL and Deaf Education at the high school level. My favorite assignments involve education or theatre, but there is nothing I won’t do, and I learn from each experience. Aside from court interpreting, there are no off-limit topics or situations. I live in southern Denton County, but am willing to travel.

Felicia Murray

Hello! My name is Felicia Murray. I am so excited to be serving my community as a Sign Language Interpreter. I was born and raised in Arkansas and raised by my grandmother who is Deaf. My husband and I relocated to Texas where I became a Texas B.E.I. Certified Interpreter. I obtained an Associate of Arts degree and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Sign Language Interpreting from Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, TX. For 17 years, I have been happily married to Reginald Murray who is a Funeral Director. We have three wonderful sons, four awesome grandchildren, and two frisky cats. In our spare time, we are members of two gospel singing groups, directors of a church choir, and we love to travel. Currently, I am employed as an Educational Interpreter so my availability is limited; however, please contact the agency for my available hours. I would love to serve you! Kim Santoscoy

Hi Everyone, My Name is Kim Santoscoy. I am a CODA and I have been interpreting since I can remember…. During the days there wasn’t’ closed captioning and I stood in front of a TV interpreting Dallas w/ JR Ewing and the Dallas Cowboy games for my parents and for every doctor’s appointment and bank dealings known to man. I am a Texas BEI Level III certified interpreter. I enjoy being a part of the Deaf culture as it is a big part of who I am. Sign Language is my first language and I love my Global Deaf family. Originally from Austin, I transplanted here July of 2012 and enjoy learning the ins and outs of the DFW area. I joined Signs2Go July 2012 and was impressed with their focus on “Customer Service” not only to the clients they serve, but to their interpreters also. My husband and I have 4 wonderfully awesome children and a dog named Quincy who is my other child. We are very family oriented as we tend to travel constantly to spend time with them whenever we have time off. This fall my goal is to go back to school and work on a BS in Deaf Studies. Jason Moreno

My name is Jason Moreno and I have been interpreting for 12 years professionally. My first informal assignment was interpreting for my mother in the delivery room right after my birth :-). I am a native language user and have been using my whole life as a training field for being an interpreter. I was first certified in 2001 with the Texas BEI Level I and obtained my Texas BEI Level III in 2005. 2009 saw me obtain my national certification as well as my educational interpreting recognition by RID. After moving out of state I let my BEI certifications lapse and I currently hold national certification. My wife and I are the proud parents to five wonderful children and have been blessed to be foster parents to three other Deaf children. We love to spend time together as a family, we love to travel and we LOVE to be outdoors. Regina "Gina" Fox

Hello, I am Gina Jackson. I was blessed with a Deaf daughter and so I feel God has given me my profession through the love of her. We got a late start using sign language, she was 2 ½, but it only took one total immersion program to tell me I wanted more! I started volunteering with her elementary classes and when a full time position was open I inquired about it. I was not qualified! I enrolled in the interpreter training program at TCJC with Mike Cinatl. I certified BEI level 1 in 1993, graduated from the program and got my Associates in 1994, yes in that order! I have had the pleasure of working in the educational field (pre-k – college), and various venues like Disney on Ice! The Barnum & Bailey Circus, Stage West, The Scott Theatre, Scarborough Faire (both as a volunteer and as a paid contractor), Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor. My experiences include weddings, funerals, business and union meetings as well as interpreter coordinator. Every day I have my hands up, I learn something new. I have served as the Editor for the Educational Interpreters special interest group of The Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf. With the help of some wonderful people, we were able to publish 3- 4 newsletters each year. I have also served on various committees when possible to help this wonderful organization. On a personal note, I have 2 children, grown and living wonderful lives. I love animals and have a Great Dane, Chihuahua, a cat and at any given time a foster or two. I do animal rescue when I can, so you never know how large my family will be on a daily basis. I enjoy the great outdoors, my motorcycle, renaissance festivals, reading and many more activities. Marsha Thornton

Hi! My name is Marsha Thornton. I am currently Texas BEI Certified- Level I since 1984. I met my first deaf person at church when I moved to Texas in 1971. I started learning sign language in 1974. I began attending workshops, associating with deaf people, and got my first certificate as an interpreter from TVID. I started working for the public schools as an interpreter in 1977. I took a short break from interpreting and stayed home with my children for five years, then I went back to educational Interpreting and have been there ever since. I have worked at all different levels, from preschool to high school. In addition to the local ISDs , I have worked as a College Interpreter and I have some Minor Medical Interpreting experience with a preference for ENT and Audiologist appointments. I also enjoy religious interpreting and do that as needed. I am available as a Community Interpreter: During the Summer, some after hours during the school year, some weekends, and some holidays. Samantha "Sam" Bridges

Hello, my name is Samantha 'Sam' Bridges. I am a Texas BEI Certified Level 1 interpreter and have enjoyed being on the fringe of the deaf world and culture since I was five. Though most probably wouldn't recognize me as my experiences were focused mainly with my deaf friend and her family. I have an Associates of the Arts degree and enjoy learning and experiencing everything I possibly can. I enjoy working in Education, the Community, and theater. My Preferred areas of work are Tarrant County and the surrounding counties, but I would not be adverse to other areas depending on the situations and times. Since I have a full time job as an Educational Interpreter with a local ISD, my hours are subject to some limitations. Chelsey Wiley

Chelsey Wiley graduated with a BA from the Interpreter training program at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL. She began her career in Jacksonville Illinois, before moving to the Champaign-Urbana area. Chelsey currently holds Advanced Certification in both Illinois and Missouri. When Chelsey transferred to the DFW Metroplex in 2012, she began the Texas BEI certification process. Chelsey currently works as a Texas BEI Basic Certified Interpreter with her sights set on increasing her certification in the very near future. Though fairly new to DFW Chelsey enjoys the wide variety of settings available. Chelsey will try anything once. She loves working in the field, developing her professional skills, and learning something new every day. Chelsey believes that awareness and preparation can be the difference between a successful and a not-so-successful interpreting situation. She values: continuing education, peer feedback, and openness to other peoples’ perspectives. Her interpreting career is based on one simple philosophy, “The ability to communicate clearly is the most important tool a person can possess.”

Anita Vaughn

Hello, My name is Anita Vaughn! I am Texas BEI Basic Certified. I have lived in Dallas, TX my whole life. I became interested in sign language at a young age, but didn't know anyone deaf. Mainstream schools, at that time, didn't have courses in Sign Language. So, it wasn't until 1984 that I finally met my first deaf friends. They were more than willing to help me learn their language as I had a strong desire to communicate with them. I have enjoyed their company and have helped and interpreted for them on many occasions and have tactile interpreted for my deaf and blind friends often. I am involved in a voluntary work assisting the deaf community learn about our Great God with the use of the Bible in ASL on DVD. I spend a significant amount of time in this work every month. I love working with the deaf and hope the feeling is mutual. My goal is not only to assist the deaf community but also to help the hearing world understand and communicate with these wonderful people. While I enjoy community services interpreting and working with deaf children, I like a variety of assignments as I love learning as much as I can in this field. I am available most weekdays and will work in and around Dallas. Other areas may be considered as well.

Amanda Mills

Amanda Mills is a Texas BEI Basic Certified Interpreter. She has her AAS Degree in Sign Language Interpreting and is working toward a Linguistics Degree at the University of North Texas. Her mom taught her basic signs growing up, but she really became interested in ASL after meeting some of her Deaf friends. Through them, she realized that there was a difference between English sign systems- transliterating, and American Sign Language, and decided to pursue the language at Tarrant County College. Amanda has a variety of hobbies and interests. She loves running, camping, art, and poetry. She hopes to go to law school eventually and practice legislative law. Amanda is an absolute joy to be around. Her winning smile and friendly personality are warm and comforting and her positive attitude is infectious! Her favorite interpreting assignments are: job trainings, social services, theater, and educational, but she really enjoys the variety of assignments that interpreting offers.

Tonya Holloway

Hi, my name is Tonya Holloway! I am Texas BEI Certified- Level I and I enjoy being an interpreter. Most of my interpreting experience has been in education, pre k-6th grade and college. Stacy Beard

Hello! My name is Stacy Beard. I have worked in Education, from K-12 to the local universities; Community, Medical, Theater, and Religious Interpreting involving music, message, and I was Deaf Ministry Coordinator for 2 years. I have worked at a variety of settings from kindergarten classes to concerts venues, laid back family gatherings to keynote speakers in formal settings, and weddings to funerals. I have interpreted for Deaf and Deaf/Blind using ASL and the Signed English Systems: SEE, Case, and Signed English. Part of the reason I love my job is the variety of places and people I meet. I am very proud to belong to the two percent of Americans who love their job. I say with a smile on my face, that I am a CODA, SODA, PODA. What’s that you ask? A child of a deaf adult, sister of a deaf adult, and parent of a deaf adult. All of my deaf family are oral so, I have experience in Oral Interpreting, but am not certified in it. I love Sign Language so much that I prefer to interpret. I am a proud wife of 26 years, mother of 4, mother-in-law to 2, and grandmother of 1. My family and I love spending time together. We have been known to turn a room in our house into a make shift movie theater and watch movies all day, camp, travel, swim, and we love softball, both men’s slow pitch and youth. Personally I love to read; I can get lost in a book very easily, and could watch HGTV, DIY, Cooking Channel or Food Network all day. I have worked in Dallas, Collin, Denton, Tarrant, and Wise counties. I am still available to work in these counties. Jessica Taylor

Hello, my name is Jessica Taylor. ​ I am a Texas BEI Certified Interpreter- Level: Basic. I graduated from TCC Trinity River interpreting program in May 2012 earning an Associates Degree. I am working toward advanced levels of certification, as well as pursing a bachelor’s degree in psychology. My goal is to obtain a master’s degree as well. ​ I have experience working as an educational interpreter at various levels. I have experience working with children and adults with varying disabilities. ​ I love learning and I enjoy new experiences. I want to learn a little bit about everything I possibly can. I always have a book on me. I love to read. I love animals. I was a dog groomer for six years. I enjoyed that immensely but I prefer to play with puppies than force them to have a bath. I have a dog named Fred. ​ I also have a wonderful man by my side. I would not have made it through school if I didn’t have him by my side. I am very blessed to have him in my life. ​ I am excited to be a part of Signs2go and pleased to have the opportunity to be involved in the Deaf community.

Great Day! My name is Margaret James. I am the proud mother of three children and one husband. In 2002 I received my Associates Degree for Interpreting from Tyler Jr College and went on to obtain my Bachelors Degree in Math Education from A & M Commerce in 2005. Not only am I a Certified BEI Level I interpreter, I am also SBEC Certified to teach Math grades 4-12. I enjoy interpreting for and meeting all of the terrific Deaf clients around the Metroplex and East Texas!

Diane Strickland

Hi! My name is Diane Strickland I just joined Signs2go in June 2013. I'm a survivor of 4 kids...2 of them are teenagers! I'm a sign student and I use signs in my church choir to show my love for God. I will be providing unique support services for everyone that works with Signs2go Interpreting & Support Services, LLC. I'm a certified cosmetologist with a specialty in color, perms, relaxers, and I also enjoy manicures and pedicures. I love making people feel special. I have come on board to make sure that your interpreters have the opportunity to look and feel their best when they come to provide you with the best interpreting services. In addition to providing pampering sessions for the interpreters, I will also be assisting around the office on a part time basis.

Melissa Bodiford

Hello, my name is Melissa Bodiford. I hold a Texas BEI- Basic Interpreter Certification. I am currently attending Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. I am a rehabilitation services major and I graduate in 2015 with my bachelor's degree. I've spent the last three years interpreting in a college setting. My parents are deaf so I've been signing my whole life and I grew up in the deaf community. Unfortunately, I am only working with Signs2Go for this summer of 2014.

Alexandra Pajares I am Texas BEI Certified: Basic. I have worked in the education setting for three years and am now expanding into the community. I feel very comfortable interpreting any grade level: kindergarten to college. I have worked in Dallas and the surrounding territories. I love the city! I'm timely, trustworthy and honest.
