<p><!--block-->I began my interest in the education of children right after I had my first child. Being a father of eight children, I wanted to ensure they received quality education and care at an early age. I have worked with children in the early childhood education field since 2002. During those years, I have had the chance to work with a wide variety of children between the ages of 1-17.<br> <br>I began working as a Center Director with KinderCare Learning Centers in 2002, managing the following centers: Las Colinas, Bedford, Lewisville, and Keller, which were dedicated to children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. As a Center Director, I am actively involved in guiding, stimulating, and encouraging growth in young children and ensuring a safe and comforting learning environment.<br> <br>Throughout the years I have learned that child care needs to go beyond learning. Before children can learn, they must feel comfortable in a safe and healthy environment. When children feel safe and healthy, it positively fosters their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. I feel that a positive environment is needed in order for children to fully understand love, encouragement, and respect. Although it is important to teach them an academic curriculum, we owe it to the children to understand them as individuals.</p>
